We are Molyneux Entertainment and we produce dreams from concept, to creation, to completion. Voted number one in the world for cruise ship entertainment, we are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our award-winning family of entertainers: Molyneux Water Worx. As a means to broaden the entertainment experience onboard ships, Water Worx sends out a team of actors to perform highly entertaining plays and scenes to create a more intimate alternative to some of the more glamorous entertainment offerings. The plays are entertaining, professional in quality, and performed by a high-energy cast of professional comedic actors who seek to bring all the excitement and fun of a night at the theatre onboard a ship.
These ever-changing performances feature excerpts and selected scenes from larger works including "Love Letters," the popular look at love from A. R. Gurney; "Simply Simon," showcasing some of the famed playwright's most hilarious scenes; "Never Doubt I Love," an exploration of some of Shakespeare's most revered love poetry and prose; “Penguins”, a hilarious British farce about a dinner party gone horribly awry, and “Dick Gumshoe, Private Eye”: a hysterical spoof of old Radio Dramas replete with onboard references and terrible puns that will leave the audiences groaning for more!. In the past, we’ve even done excerpts from some of the hottest shows on Broadway today, including “The Producers” and “Art.”
Our actors come to us from Broadway, Off-Broadway, London’s West End, as well as Shakespeare festivals and Regional theatres all over the world. We seek actors who in addition to great comic aptitude bring a professional attitude and charm. They are equally comfortable onstage as they are interacting with guests and promoting upcoming performances. They are very popular on the ships, and have made fans out of many passengers who weren’t originally planning on attending the shows.
Many guests are theater aficionados, and expect their luxury vacation to include a wide scope of stimulating and entertaining experiences. The Repertory Theatre at Sea format gives us the flexibility to regularly present new material, which is particularly appreciated by our large number of repeat guests. Our unique program allows us to create quality entertainment with a tremendous amount of versatility. Shows can be rewritten and performing venues can be changed with a minimum of fuss by our flexible casts of professional actors. A large part of the success of the program is it’s diversity of fare; being able to present almost any kind of entertaining theatre anywhere on the ship.
The Water Worx program, though still evolving, has already had an astounding level of success. Molyneux Entertainment has created the blue-print for what will undoubtedly become a fixture in the world of Cruise Ship Entertainment for years to come.
