TIM MOLYNEUX,
Visionary, Creator, Philosopher
Tim Molyneux is a true Renaissance Man. Through his life and artistic creations, he has touched the lives of 1000s of people across the world in a positive and productive way. He is the owner and CEO of Molyneux Entertainment, a full service creative entertainment company that produces Las Vegas and Broadway style song and dance shows for cruise ships, name acts, Broadway tours, hotels and corporate clients worldwide.
Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Tim Molyneux has always been a showman and leader. He began his solo career at the age of five at his grandfathers Pentecostal church. Here he sang and performed as an opening act for some of the greatest legends in the Southern Gospel heritage. Also at five years old, Tim began playing football and was an All-Star quarterback for offense and All-Star free safety for defense. He gave up his dreams to be a professional football player when his idol, Coach Paul Bear Bryant, head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, passed away. Tim had always wanted to play for the Bear.
Tims roots in Gospel music and team work efforts have shaped him into the passionate performer, organizer and successful CEO he is today.
Throughout his formative years, Mr. Molyneux was well known and respected as the ultimate organizer, party leader and grand producer. By the time he left Mobile, AL in 1988, he had left his mark as a great leader in his church, elementary and high school communities. Tim has always been known for his loving heart, outstanding talents and passionate lifestyle.
At the age of 13, Tim Molyneux began studying classical voice with some of the souths leading vocal coaches. When not studying French, German, Italian and Latin, Tim was actively participating in extra curricular activities, sports and his new found love, musical theater productions. All through his teenage years, Tim sang and danced in everything from classical recitals and political functions, to church concerts, and Broadway shows at regional musical theater houses.
In 1987 Mr. Molyneux received a full scholarship to Florida State University for Opera vocal performance. By his senior year at Florida State, Tim was not only singing Opera, but was arranging music and choreographing for jazz choirs, teaching voice to undergrads and high school performers, served as an assistant youth pastor and drama director for a 1000 member inter-denominational youth group and producing television performances, private parties, political events, halftime shows, and even USO appearances during Dessert Storm.
Though never considering producing as a full time job because deep down he wanted to sing and dance, Tim was forced to create his own company to do it all. Neux Man Productions, Inc. was now official and would ultimately be the foundation for his multi-million dollar Molyneux Entertainment operation today.
Through his performing and productions, Molyneux soon created business relationships with powerful community and industry executives such as the president of the Tallahassee Chamber Of Commerce who quotes:
I hope we can call on you (Tim Molyneux) when we need the perfect representative for our city. The Florida State University Executive Director of Seminole Boosters, Inc. said this of Mr. Molyneux: The sum total of your contributions may exceed that of any undergraduate ever to enrich the fabric of the University.
You have already earned your place as a major contributor to the well-being and development of your alma mater. Dale Lick, then president of Florida State remarks,
Mr. Molyneux has been one of our best representatives of and for our university
. he (Molyneux) is an exceptional individual and talent
bright, articulate
charming person with poise and charisma
he is certainly one of the most capable and versatile young talents I have experienced in my 14 years as a university president. Although Mr. Molyneux was hugely successful at this creative and producing business, he never considered it as a full time job. His love was performing. He had to sing. He had to dance.
In 1992 he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he created the leading role of Reginald C. Worthmore the III in a 50s show, much like GREASE!, the musical. Molyneux continued to teach voice lessons and produce shows on the side while in San Antonio, but his popularity as this endearing character gained him national notoriety. He spoke for commercials and events around the San Antonio area and had a huge following for his Reggie personification. In 1994 he decided to put aside his producing opportunities once again, and moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his solo artist music career.
In Nashville, he performed as the rock and roll singer for the General Jackson Showboats evening shows and had a featured show at the GEO Theater at the Opryland Theme Park. Tims show was during the day before the nighttime Nashville On Stage Series began. In 1996 he began to perform with a 4-man comic Acappella musical group that opened all the shows at the park. He continued however, to supplement his income by being a creative director/writer for many corporate clients around the Nashville area.
During this time in Nashville, he felt he needed to be fed intellectually, as well as artistically, so he went to Belmont University for an extensive study in analytic communication and philosophy. Through this research and education Tim rediscovered who he was and found his purpose in the world. After graduation he took his find the good, the true and the beautiful approach to his performances and productions. Once this revelation took over his life, his life took over. Success made itself available full time and soon, he found the opportunity to perform his one man show on cruise ships.
This opened the door to a whole other world for Molyneuxs creative endeavors. Tim was booked on a variety of ships all over the world and he fervently watched every show on every ship. He learned what worked and what did not and took these experiences with him back to Nashville. He sculpted his own shows, as well as his commissioned productions around what he knew to be successful.
Molyneuxs performances and productions captured the eye of many entertainment executives and production companies so much so, that he was forced to take on his producer role full time. Consistent high energy
captivated audiences, thats what you can expect from a Tim Molyneux show, says John Haywood, former president of entertainment for The Gaylord Entertainment group.
When the Vice President of entertainment for a five star cruise line asked Tims company to produce entertainment products for his whole fleet of ships, Tim knew then that it was time to put on hold his performer roles and embrace this creative producer role full force. By 1998, Neux Man Productions Inc., now Molyneux Entertainment, was setting new standards in the cruise ship entertainment market. Today, Molyneuxs productions of full-scale Broadway style shows and custom entertainment products continue to be voted number one in the world for cruise ship entertainment.
Over the last few years, Tim Molyneux has traveled over 250 dates a year. He has been to Australia, New Zealand, The French Polynesia, Tasmania, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Russia, South America, Venezuela, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, all across Italy, including Rome, Venice, and Naples, all over France with extended stays in the South and North of France, Germany, the entire Caribbean, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Korea, Vietnam, Hiroshima, Central America, The United Kingdom, all over Canada and Alaska
and more. His travels have given him the depth of character and appreciation for life he has today.
He is a true Renaissance man and embraces all cultures, races and spiritual beliefs and tries to find the good, the true and the beautiful. He doesnt support any particular organized religions, but supports the good that they bring to the world. Tim believes that God is Love. Period. This means it supercedes all religions. It embraces all religions. Tim Molyneux says, No, I never set out to be where I am today but I realized back in my mid 20s that life is not about the final destination. It is all about the trip. We must be at peace with each moment while taking full advantage of every opportunity; searching for nothing and finding everything.
I think I am successful, but probably not in the way most would think. Everything I do, I do with passion. I think the best way to describe my view of success is measured by my favorite poem and poet, Ralph Waldo Emersons, Success
To Laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children
To earn the appreciation of honest critiques and endure the betrayal of false friends, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. |
